History and Upbringing: Since Fred’s father is George Weasley, Fred was brought up in believing in the normal Weasley family traditions and morals. These traditions include being able to interact and know the names of many family members, and being fed an enormous amount of food by Molly Weasley. For some reason unknown, Fred didn’t inherit the family trait for red hair so for his whole life he has been teased for it. People joke that it is Hannah’s fault. Fred and his cousin were used to hearing stories about all the things that happened before they were born and have been asked about these legacies many times by people they don’t even know. Sometimes people look away when they see Fred because he has such a resemblance to Fred the first, except for his hair. Fred’s big family including all of his relatives was big and happy his whole life but his smaller family had just consisted of his dad his mom and himself so he became used to playing alone and in quietude. George and he got along really well because they were both jokesters. George would work on his joke shop often so Fred learned a lot from that and even exceeded his father in some prank ideas. Fred grew up having a good relationship with his family, though for his whole life Fred has lived with the legacy of his family on his shoulders.
Current State of Mind: Fred is neat and organized and does pretty decent in school, though he keeps the hobby of pranking on the side. He is a lot like Fred but tends to care more about school. He exceeds in DADA because he has so many people to teach him and because he has learned about the war his whole life. However, his favorite subject is Muggle studies because he like his grandfather is very interested in the minds of the muggles. He’s known everyone in school for so long that he really doesn’t like any girls romantically, but that can change quickly *mischievous grin*. Fred always promised himself that he himself would be a legacy or would at least try to live a good life to make up for the death of the person he was named after. He has always felt like sort of an oddball in his family and feels like he is different somehow. When he had been sorted into Gryffindor as a first year he was both surprised and relieved. Fred has never felt like he is brave enough to be in Gryffindor and thinks that he is better suited for Ravenclaw. Since he doesn’t have the best self-confidence he tends to be surprised when girls like him, he doesn’t think that he is anything special and that he is just average. So though Fred doesn’t think he fits in with his family he also doesn’t really want to fall too much under the shadow of his family. He just doesn’t yet realize that it’s good that he’s different. He needs to find himself.
Role In the Plot: He is just another one of those studious kids that has to live in the post-war epoch. He spends time in the library but will definitely go out and have a good time when he doesn’t need to complete a paper or anything; everyone needs a break from working. He will probably be pretty outgoing but just on the quieter side. Fred is a pretty agreeable person and gets along with most people unless they are really rude or mean, especially towards someone he cares about. He is pretty passive so it would take a lot to get him in a fistfight, though strange things are known to happen in RPG world XD
